PEAK Trip to Angkor Wat, Cambodia (10)
- The record of Khmer lives

As you see, there are many interesting images on the wall around Angkor Thom. The wall is around 3 meters tall with 3 levels of images which describes its own stories. The walls were covered by moss. The Khmers spent more than 10 years to clear the moss without destorying the Bas-Relief. Therefore, you may see the dfferent colors of the stone, a little grey or brown.
The first image is people have their cockfighting in market place; and the second one is a woman who is bearing a baby under a shield. It records the true lives of Khmer people and becomes a very important evidences for historian who studys the Khmer history. The Bas-Reliefs of Angkor Thom are different from Angkor Wat, because Angkor Wat's Bas-Relief describes the Hindu fairy tales. Those images will be shown in my traveling diary later on.
