PEAK Trip to Angkor Wat, Cambodia (7)
- The loyalty to Angkor Wat never change
When you enter the Angkor Wat, you can see the sculptures standing on both sides of the gallery. The one with tridents is an empowered administor; and the other one with the sword is the General who manages the military. They stand there to guard the temple.
In many Asian countries, there are usually two scupltures placed in front of the door, sometimes even on the door. It means guard those who live in the construction.
The long gallery with sunshine makes you feel the lapse of time and with the coming and failling of each dynasty. The only thing that remains the same here is the scupltures and the ruins. They have encountered through many dynasties until now.
